Tour Description

This tour is completely different than our other tours. You'll start with a tutorial on how to operate our Premium E-Bikes.  Then your tour guide will lead you to Scottsdale's Greenbelt; a World-Renowned-Bike-Path, which is just three blocks from our store.

Through the first portion of our tour, the bike path nestles up to golf courses, well manicured parks, frisbee golf courses, multiple lakes, and a popular skate park called "The Wedge".  It's a recreational environment that is fun to ride through.

On the way to Tempe Town Lake we ride under a few tunnel underpasses and enjoy a some gradual inclines and declines on the bike path.   When you arrive at Tempe Town Lake your tour you will take a moment to stop at a relaxing vista point with bench's to relax and take in the views. From this resting place, you'll see sweeping views of  Tempe Town Lake.  A highlight is also the popular ASU student hiking trail winding through  "A-Mountain", which is also known at Tempe Butte.

Then you'll cruise by the Tempe Marina and see the boats as you take the bike path towards Papago Park.  Riding parallel to Tempe Town Lake you'll experience cooling moments of shade as you glide underneath the 100 year old Tempe Bridge and the Old Railroad Bridge; which dates back to the 1800's.  It's common to see groups of small sail boats gliding on the water and row teams practicing on Tempe Town Lake.

The scenery makes a dramatic shift to an iconic desert landscape as we enter Papago Park.  We usually see road runners (birds) on this portion of the tour, meep meep! The smooth concrete bike path meanders through a unique frisbee golf course that is rocky with maroon colors.  The sound of traffic disappears and the colors come to life.

Ahead on a hill top, we see an on oddly placed pyramid; it's the tomb of George W.P. Hunt, Arizona's first Governor. Interesting!  Then we make our way to The Hole in the Rock.  Your group will hop off your bikes and leave them with the tour guide and walk about 5 minutes up the trail to the look out point.  It's really easy to make your way up there and it's a perfect opportunity to take a photo to capture some vacation memories.  You don't have to walk up to the look out point if you don't want to.  You can hang out with your tour guide and chat if you'd like.

After the Hole in the Rock, we continue our loop and ride by the back side of the Desert Botanical Gardens to link up with the path by the Arizona Canals. As we ride towards Scottsdale, there are gorgeous views of Camelback Mountain, which is the home of the most popular hiking trail in Phoenix, the Echo Canyon trail.

Pro Tip: This tour is different than our Scottsdale Segway Tour and Scottsdale E-Bike Tour. Some of our guests choose to do all three tours.  After that, you will have seen more of Scottsdale and Tempe than most locals.  If you would like to venture out with no tour guide, you can also rent our e-bikes.
